Refer for Mammograms & Bone Density Testing

Bone density testing and mammograms may require a doctor’s referral (prescription).  At Willow Brook Medical Center we work with a collection of great testing facilities. We can provide you with a referral and assist you in finding the best local facility for your bone density testing or mammogram.

Sexually Transmitted Disease Screening & Treatment

Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are caused by infections which are passed through sexual contact. These infections often do not cause any symptoms.  And if you feel you are at risk of an infection, getting tested allows you to get any treatments you may need. We are here to help. Our caring staff at Willow Brook Medical Center can talk with you about STDs and help you get any testing or treatment you may need.

Hormone Therapy & Menopausal Management

Normal women have menopause at a mean age of 51 years, with 95 percent becoming menopausal between the ages of 45 to 55 years. Some menopausal symptoms include: vaginal atrophy, “hot flashes”, depression, joint aches and pains, sleep disturbances, and cognitive function and dementia. If you are experiencing menopausal symptoms, contact us to discuss risks and benefits of estrogen, available hormone preparations, and an overview of menopausal therapies for women who choose not to or cannot take estrogen. Together we can develop a management plan that focuses on relieving the specific symptoms that are most difficult.

Management of Osteoporosis

Women are at a higher risk for osteoporosis after menopause due to lower levels of estrogen, a female hormone that helps to maintain bone mass. Willow Brook Medical Center provides preventive treatments that can help to maintain or increase bone density. For those affected by osteoporosis, early diagnosis of bone loss and valuation of fracture risk are vital because therapies are available that can slow further loss of bone or increase bone density.

Management of Premenstrual Tension

Many women experience severe premenstrual symptoms (PMS) include depression, anxiety, irritability and loss of confidence, and physical symptoms including bloating and mastalgia.  The main treatment goals for women who are diagnosed with PMS or PMDD are to improve symptoms and restore function while optimizing overall health. Women who seek treatment should contact us and together, we can develop a management plan that focuses on relieving the specific symptoms that are most difficult.
